Wildlife Jewels Plant for Pollinators Painting & Planting with Pacific Ridge School

Wildlife Jewels PETAL Conservation w/ Pacific Ridge School: February 5th Monarch Butterfly Day, planting activity at Carlsbad Poinsettia Park. The students planted native plants that will help support and attract local pollinators. On February 13th, we held a painting activity where students painted beautiful hummingbirds, butterflies, and native plants, highlighting the importance of protecting pollinators. We recently had the pleasure of hosting Painting & Planting activities alongside the dedicated 7th-grade Service Learning students from Pacific Ridge School in Carlsbad!

As part of Wildlife Jewels’ Pollinator Engagement Through Arts, Leadership, and Conservation (PETAL™ Conservation) program!

The program featured exciting art workshops, where students learned about San Diego's native Hummingbirds & Butterflies and their critical role in our ecosystem. They created stunning artwork inspired by these precious pollinators, exploring both the beauty and the challenges they face.

This was complemented by planting activities at Carlsbad Poinsettia Park, where the students put their learning into action by planting native plants to help support and attract local pollinators.

It was incredibly inspiring to see how the students' creativity and passion for conservation came together to support pollinators! We’re so proud of the invaluable work the students did, which will benefit both pollinators and our ecosystem, creating lasting benefits for both people and the environment!
