Happy 51st Birthday to the extraordinary and inspiring Hannah the Pygmy Hippo!
Hannah’s story has touched our hearts, and we’re thrilled to celebrate her journey by creating a special work of art, “Hannah the Pygmy Hippo’s Dreams”, capturing her beauty and resilience. This piece, along with other designs, will be part of our upcoming Wildlife Jewels® Collections Conservation Capsule dedicated to Hannah.

Hannah Shirley is a precious pygmy hippo who has been in care at San Diego Humane Society’s Ramona Wildlife Center as a sanctuary animal since 2001. In the wild, Pygmy Hippos are found in small areas of West Africa, sadly with an estimated population of fewer than 3,000 remaining, they are classified as endangered by the IUCN.
Today, we honor Hannah and her incredible journey. Wishing Hannah many more wonderful years ahead!
