Wildlife Jewels Paint for Pollinators Conservation Arts Workshop with Pacific Ridge School

Wildlife Jewels’ PETAL Conservation Painting Workshop at Pacific Ridge School Carlsbad, February 13, 2025

We recently had the pleasure of hosting a vibrant art workshop as part of Wildlife Jewels’ PETAL™ Conservation Arts Program, with the dedicated 7th-grade Service Learning students from Pacific Ridge School in Carlsbad!

During the workshop, students explored the fascinating world of San Diego’s hummingbirds and butterflies, learned about the vital roles these pollinators play in our ecosystem, the challenges they face, and how native plants help support their survival.

With creativity and passion, students learned painting techniques and created vibrant works of art inspired by these precious pollinators—bringing to life their stunning colors, intricate patterns, and natural beauty, while also reflecting on the urgent need to protect them.

The exciting art workshop complemented planting activities, where students learned about some of the pollinators' favorite native plants, their importance, and even planted them at Carlsbad Poinsettia Park!
