“Every wildlife is unique, and every individual matters! Even if you pick up a single piece of debris, you could be saving a life. The sad moment I witnessed a Gull swallowing a plastic knife inspired me to form this group. Please join us in our efforts to protect and preserve our precious wildlife!”

August 2024
We're thrilled to see that our "Sweep for Wildlife" Solana Beach Cleanup, held on Sunday August 25th, is featured in the San Diego Union-Tribune!
Wildlife Jewels’ Marine Debris Cleanup and Wildlife Tales Program:
Our “Marine Debris Cleanup and Wildlife Tales “Program” provide a distinctive chance to make a significant impact on marine conservation while delving into the experiences of distinctive marine life that have been affected by human activities. Through cleanup activities and captivating narratives, you'll play a vital role in preserving our oceans and nurturing a stronger sense of responsibility for our natural world. Join us in protecting these incredible creatures by taking small actions every day.
On July 9th, we observed several beautiful Western Gulls picking up charcoal and burnt wood from the sand. We held our first Sweep for Wildlife Beach Cleanup in Solan Beach in August! And Thanks to the invaluable help of our community volunteers, we collected at least 90 pounds of charcoal, burnt wood, and 111 nails during our cleanup, removing a significant hazard that our precious wildlife could otherwise ingest!
Join us as we continue this invaluable cause, uniting the community to clean our beautiful beach while educating about our precious wildlife and the ways you can help keep our beach safe for both wildlife and people!
