Story of the painting:
In this 38” x 48” mixed media masterpiece, Thandi and Zolani stride gracefully upon a vast, protective lavender amethyst. In this captivating artwork, Thandi and Zolani come to life with bold, striking hues that adorn their majestic forms. Intricately crafted, the painting features fine, detailed dots reminiscent of exquisite jewels, enhancing their magical presence. Thandi, portrayed as the queen she truly is, wears a magnificent crown. This embellishment symbolizes her strength and enduring grace, capturing the essence of her triumphant journey from despair to hope. Through vibrant colors and intricate details, the painting radiates the majestic resilience of these magnificent Rhinos.
Above them, a shimmering moon radiates with a glimmer of hope, casting its silvery glow upon the duo, symbolizing safety and optimism.
However, beyond this light, darkness looms. To the left, vivid red brushstrokes evoke the pain and anguish of Thandi's harrowing attack—a stark reminder of the devastation she endured, nearly succumbing to the brutality. Above and to the right, shadows encroach, signifying the perilous edge on which their lives teeter.
