The Problem

Wildlife species around the world are facing an alarming, accelerating and heartbreaking threat - Wildlife Crime. This illicit industry is pushing our precious wildlife to the brink of extinction. From the ruthless poaching of rhinos for their horns, pangolins for their scales, sharks for the cruel shark fin soup trade, elephants for their ivory, to illegal fishing, the tragic capture of lions, the illegal trade in songbirds, parrots, reptiles and other precious wildlife to be pets, and even the smuggling of endangered plant species - the scale of wildlife crimes is staggering.

Wildlife crime is not just a random act. It is a sinister and highly organized transnational operation. It thrives on corruption and is orchestrated by well-coordinated criminal networks armed with advanced technologies that aid them in their illicit activities. This devastating threat must be addressed with utmost urgency and unwavering resolve to protect our planet's irreplaceable biodiversity.

We illuminate the threats posed by wildlife criminal acts including poaching and wildlife trade, shedding light on imperiled wildlife. Through digital advocacy, partnerships, visual arts, and media outreach, we raise awareness and the urgency of the need to protect wildlife. Our efforts extend to pioneering innovative technologies to guard wildlife from crime, uniting technologists and policymakers in collaborative groups and panels to forge solutions that protect wildlife from criminal activities.
