Wildlife Jewels featured in La Jolla Light
As ospreys continue to make a temporary home out of light posts above the La Jolla Tennis Club, a wildlife conservationist recently made an unsettling observation: what appeared to be a deceased bird hanging from a fishing line on the side of a nest.

We’re thrilled to see Wildlife Jewels and our EYES program featured on Spectrum News 1, spotlighting our efforts to protect coastal wildlife — from monitoring nesting gulls to locating and reporting distressed wildlife along the coast.
“Wildlife Jewels created a new monitoring program called Engage Your Eyes for Sealife, which covers San Diego, Los Angeles and Orange County beaches. The EYES program will actively search for wildlife along the coast that need help and also gather data on the threats they are facing.”
