Marine Debris Cleanup and Wildlife Tales Program:
Our Marine Debris Cleanup and Wildlife Tales Program offers a meaningful way to support ocean stewardship while learning about marine life affected by human activity. Through cleanup activities, storytelling, and education, participants help care for coastal habitats and build a deeper sense of responsibility for the natural world. Join us in taking small actions that can make a difference for wildlife and our oceans.
Program Description:
Join our Marine Debris Cleanup & Wildlife Tales program—an opportunity to support coastal stewardship through beach cleanups, education, and storytelling. The program pairs community cleanup activities with stories of marine life observed through our EYES™ community science efforts, helping participants learn about the impacts of fishing gear, tar balls, plastic pollution, and other human-caused hazards. Participants leave with a deeper understanding of coastal ecosystems and simple everyday actions that can help reduce harm to wildlife and habitats.
Program Highlights:
Beach Cleanup:
Take part in community beach cleanup efforts that help care for coastal habitats and reduce debris in the environment.
Wildlife Tales:
Each session features engaging stories that introduce participants to marine species found along our coast and the environmental challenges they face.
Everyday Stewardship:
Participants gain a better understanding of responsible waste practices and simple actions that support healthier coastal ecosystems.
Community Engagement:
The program brings together community members who care about ocean stewardship, education, and coastal wildlife awareness.

Guided beach cleanups led by community volunteers
